In this article, we would like to introduce you to two brand new bikes for the city called PAVER. They are part of the Edition series and form the basis of the new Urban category.
The two PAVER models are an important and much-requested addition to our product range: For the first time, velotraum offers models that have been specially designed for use in the city. If you want to ride to work, go shopping or go on a weekend tour in style with a high-quality and ergonomically adapted bike, then you need a velotraum, but perhaps not necessarily the FINDER with Pinion gear shifting or a SPEEDSTER with carbon parts.
The Edition Series
It makes sense that both PAVER models are available as edition models and have therefore already been optimally configured for you with top-quality components. Over 30 years of experience in building unique bicycles and feedback from velotraum customers have gone into the Edition Series, which also includes a trekking model (ROOTER R2 Edition), an adventure model (FINDER F6 Edition) a gravel model (SPEEDSTER S2 Edition) and an e-bike model (ELEKTRIKER E2 Edition).
The features of the Edition models have been perfectly tailored to their respective purposes. You no longer have to worry about questions regarding the right shifting system, parts or components, because our experts have already taken care of that. However, you can let your creativity run wild when it comes to choosing a colour, with a choice of seven popular frame colours:
Carmine red (RAL 3002), steel blue (RAL 5011), deep black (RAL 9005), VT green, traffic orange (RAL 2009), platinum grey (RAL 7036) and sun yellow (RAL 1037).
The fork and velotraum decals are black as trademarks of the Edition series (the latter is pastel grey only on black frames).
The PAVER models
What do you need in an urban environment? Do you really need a high-end Rohloff hub or 70 mm tyre clearance? If not, then save your wallet and your nerves, find the best possible specifications and opt for a PAVER model.
The bike should be practical, solid and reliable. So you need a luggage rack, lights and mudguards. Of course, the PAVER has all of this on board. The bike should also be stylish, but don't worry, with its velotraum DNA, the Paver is definitely an eye-catcher.
The Shimano Cues 2x11-speed derailleur with stable Linkglide cassette is the epitome of worry-free shifting. If you also need a generous gear range, then choose the PAVER P2 Edition.
Don't want to get your trousers dirty with chain grease on your way to work, and eight gears are enough for your relatively flat routes? On top of that, regular maintenance of the drivetrain isn't your thing, but you still want it to last a long time and run smoothly? Then the PAVER P8 Edition with Shimano Alfine hub gears and Gates carbon belt drive is perfect for you.
The RS-900 frame of the P2 and P8 Edition offers balanced geometry that many cycling enthusiasts will feel comfortable with right away. Of course, as with every velotraum bike, the PAVER Edition also offers ergonomic adjustment of the bike to your needs and physical requirements.
Conclusion: The PAVER, as well as the entire Edition series, offers the ideal mix of individual customisation and optimal pre-configuration. Best of all, the bikes in this series are available faster than our freely configurable bikes, so you can enjoy even more of the summer on your bike.
