XS or XXXL?

I'm relatively short/tall – and can't find a suitable bike.

You can here. With the Rooter XS, anyone under 1.60 meters tall gets a dream velotraum bike, with a harmonious geometry that accommodates all their equipment needs. The same applies to our 3 XL version – for people over 1.95 meters tall. In both cases, please use our bike sizing process and our expert advice. This way, we can find the best solution for you.

Our edition is pre-designed and preconfigured for you. The specs are based on our team's practical experience and expertise. We asked ourselves: what would we choose? So, you get high-quality, proven parts and components you can trust. Naturally, these bikes are also individually and ergonomically adjusted to your needs. You can choose the frame color from over 200 RAL colors – only the fork and velotraum lettering are black.

Want a more relaxed cycling experience?

So far, my hands and shoulders often hurt when I cycle.

There are several reasons for this. The most common: a lack of competent advice and proper measurements. This can lead, for example, to a saddle that's too high or incorrect – or even the wrong frame size. At velotraum and our partner retailers, we therefore place great emphasis on ergonomic fitting. Do you build bikes for everyday use or for eternity?

Both. Our bikes deliver what they promise – and do so for decades. We use only high-quality components from renowned manufacturers. The frames and wheels are exceptionally stable, and because we build and finish everything by hand, the overall quality is very high. When traveling, our bikes often have to endure a wide variety of climatic conditions and the roughest bumpy roads. Of course, they also demonstrate these tough qualities in everyday life. This makes them reliable and safe companions on any terrain you choose.

Tubeless?

Can I also ride your bikes tubeless?

You can. By choosing DT-Swiss rims and the matching tires. You can recognize them by the abbreviation TLR — tubeless ready. By the way: We build all our wheels ourselves and use only the best spokes and hubs from renowned manufacturers.

World travelling companion?

I need a bike that can withstand a lot and keep up with my needs.

Our Finder model is the one we use most often on world trips. But you can also embark on great adventures with any of our other bikes. Our frames are extremely stable and designed to carry a lot of weight. There are also plenty of mounting points for attaching racks, lowriders, or anything-cages to the fork. We also offer a steel fork for the Rooter and Speedster models, which can support a system weight of up to 180 kg.

Built in Baden-Württemberg?

Do you actually build all your bikes in Weil der Stadt?

Yes, we do. And each one is customized to the customer's specifications. For this, the frames are machined, painted, and fitted with the appropriate components on-site. We also build the wheels ourselves, because this requires a lot of craftsmanship. Doing everything in-house at velotraum also means we have the best control over our quality — and the utmost care during assembly.
